Below we explain how we collect, use, store, transmit, share, transfer (where applicable), and protect personal information, and how you can access, copy, delete, correct, and withdraw consent. 1. How we collect and use personal information
We collect information you provide and information generated automatically when you use our services:
1.1 Registration and login
a. When you register or sign in to VortMall, you may create an account with a mobile number and complete profile fields (avatar, nickname, password) to help you register. A mobile number is required for real-name rules where applicable; without it, we may be unable to provide posting or commenting. You may add profile details (title, company, bio, blog) for display to others and for recommendations.
c. You may sign in with a third-party account and authorize us to obtain public profile data (avatar, nickname, and other authorized fields) to bind your VortMall account for direct login.
1.2 Content browsing
VortMall may recommend content from tags, topics, and follows; we may collect necessary logs and do not use third-party data for this.
1.3 Publishing and interaction
1.3.1 Publishing
a. When you post content, comments, questions, or answers, we collect what you publish and display your nickname, avatar, and content.
b. When you upload images or change your avatar, we will request your authorizationCamera and photo access. Denying permission disables this feature but not other VortMall features.
c. Information collected because others’ content (comments, messages, posts) may reference you.
d. If you only want basic features, you can use Basic Mode. In Basic Mode, VortMall collects personal information only as needed to secure and operate the service under law, not other personal data. You may browse without signing in; in Basic Mode you can use topics, sharing, and follow interactions only.
1.3.2 Interaction
When you follow accounts and interact, we collect follow data and show you their posts.

When you apply to be a VortMall course author, we collect yourReal name and contact information(WeChat or phone), current company and title, author bio, blogs and tech media—if omitted you may not become a VortMall course author; other features are unaffected.
1.6 Real-name verification
When you withdraw funds or use identity-verified features or services, to comply with laws and regulations, protect you or other users, or maintain stability and security of features and services,Real-name verification may require your legal name and ID number as applicable.
Identity verification may require a third-party provider to verify your identity. Such information is used for verification, individual income tax filing, or other lawful purposes and will not be used for other purposes without your explicit consent. You may refuse, but features requiring verification may be unavailable; other features remain available.
1.7 Other features
When you share or receive shared content, we may access your clipboard to read links for sharing and related services. To analyze acquisition, activation, retention, and performance, we may use the clipboard for attribution; we do not collect your private information.
1.8 Operations and security
1.8.1 Operations and security safeguards
We aim to provide a safe, trustworthy environment. To keep services stable and protect you and others, we collect data needed to maintain secure operationRequired information。
1.8.2 Device and log information
a. To secure and operate the software and services, we may collect hardware model, OS version, device identifiers (Android: IMEI/MEID, Android ID, OAID, IMSI, SIM/ICCID, SN; iOS: IDFV, IDFA; validity and reset rules vary), MAC address, IP, WLAN (SSID/BSSID), Bluetooth, app version, network type/status/quality, usage, service logs, and sensor data (e.g., accelerometer, gyroscope).
b. For security and anti-abuse, we may collect installed apps or running processes, app usage and frequency, crashes, installs, performance data, and app sources.
c. We may use account, device, and service log information, and data shared by affiliates or partners with consent or as permitted by law, for security, authentication, and incident prevention.
1.9 Changes to purposes of collecting and using personal information
As our business evolves, VortMall features may change. When new features relate to existing ones, data use stays aligned with original purposes. For unrelated uses, we will notify and obtain consent as required by law.
1.10 Exceptions to consent
Under law, we may collect and use your data without prior consent in these cases:
a. Related to our legal obligations;
b. Directly related to national or defense security;
c. Directly related to public safety, health, or major public interest;
d. Directly related to criminal investigation, prosecution, trial, or enforcement;
e. To protect life, property, or other major lawful interests of you or others when consent is hard to obtain;
f. Personal information you have made public;
g. Personal information collected from lawful public sources such as news or government disclosures;
h. Necessary to conclude or perform a contract at the data subject’s request;
i. Necessary to maintain secure, stable operation of the software and services, e.g., detecting and fixing faults;
j. Necessary for lawful news reporting;
k. Academic research in the public interest with de-identified personal information in published results;
l. Other circumstances stipulated by laws and regulations.
Information that cannot identify you alone or with other data is not personal information under law. When it can identify you, or when combined with other data about you, it will be treated as personal information under this Policy.
2. How we use cookies and similar technologies
Cookies and similar technologies are common on the internet. When you use VortMall, we may send cookies or anonymous identifiers to collect and store information about your access and use. We will not use cookies for purposes beyond this policy. We use them mainly for the following:
2.1 Secure and efficient operation of products and services
We may use cookies or anonymous identifiers to verify secure login and detect fraud, and to improve performance and response times.
2.2 Smoother access experience
These technologies can reduce repeated entry of personal data or searches (e.g. saved searches, form autofill).
2.3 Recommending and showing content or accounts you may like
a. We may use cookies and similar technologies to understand preferences and usage, analyze data, improve services, and recommend relevant information or features.
b. On VortMall share pages, cookies may record browsing for recommendations and to diagnose crashes, latency, and service improvements.
2.4 Clearing cookies
Most browsers let you clear cache in settings; clearing may disable cookie-dependent features.
3. Partners, transfers, and disclosure of personal information
3.1 Partners in data use
3.1.1 Principles
a. Lawfulness:Partner data use must have a lawful basis. If it no longer complies, partners must stop or obtain a new lawful basis.。
b. Legitimacy and data minimization:Data must be used for legitimate purposes and only as necessary to achieve those purposes.
c. Security and prudence:We assess partners’ purposes and security, require contractual safeguards, and monitor SDKs and APIs for data safety.
3.1.2 Processing by processors
For processors we sign agreements and supervise use.

For joint processing we sign agreements defining roles and compliance.
3.1.4 Scope of partners
Where a feature or scenario involves services provided by our affiliates or third parties, partners include our affiliates and those third parties.
3.1.5 Data use for features or services
a. When you use features provided by our partners in VortMall, or when software, smart device, or system providers jointly serve you with us, we may aggregate necessary information for business purposes, build indirect audience profiles, and recommend or push content, features, services, or ads that may interest you.
c. Wallet features are provided by affiliates and partners who collect only what is necessary when you use wallet features.
d. Payments: provided by third-party payment partners who may need to collect your name,Card type, number, expiry, and phone number. Card number, expiry date, and mobile number are sensitive personal information required for payment; refusing to provide them means you cannot use this feature, but other features remain available.
e. Customer service: providers need your account and case details to handle complaints, suggestions, and requests.
3.1.6 Data use for advertising
a. Ads: Partners for push/promotion and ads may use de-identified or anonymized device, network, channel, and tag data; ad partners may use it to deliver, optimize, and measure reach.
b. Ad analytics: partners may use device, network, ad clicks, views, impressions, and conversion data to measure and improve ads.
c. Ad partners may combine the above with other lawful data to optimize ads; we require lawful, legitimate, necessary use that respects your rights.
d. Lead forms: if you submit contact or address details on an advertiser’s or its vendor’s landing page, the advertiser may collect and use that information directly.
3.1.7 Sharing for security and analytics
a. Security: We take account and service security seriously. To protect you and others, we and affiliates or providers may share necessary device, account, and log information.
b. Product analytics: partners may need crash data, device identifiers, and install/usage stats to improve experience.
3.1.8 Marketing and promotional activities
For joint campaigns we may share name, address, contact, bank account, etc., with partners per campaign rules. Refusal may limit participation.
3.2 Transfer
As we grow, mergers, acquisitions, or asset transfers may involve transferring your personal information. We will require successors to meet legal requirements and security standards no lower than this Policy. If their purposes or methods change, they must obtain your consent again.
3.3 Disclosure
a. We do not publicly disclose your information except as required by law or with your consent. Any public disclosure uses industry-standard safeguards.

c. Author leaderboards and official VortMall rankings may show information already public on your profile.

a. Necessary to conclude or perform a contract to which you are a party, or to carry out human resources management under lawfully adopted rules and collective agreements;

e. Necessary for public health emergencies or to protect life, health, or property in emergencies;
f. News reporting or public-interest oversight within reasonable scope;

h. Collected from lawfully publicly disclosed information;
i. Other circumstances stipulated by laws or administrative regulations.
4. How we store personal information
4.1 Storage location
Per law, personal data collected in China is stored in China. We do not transfer it overseas unless permitted and, when required, with your consent.

We retain personal information only as long as needed to provide VortMall and services, for example:

5.4 No internet transmission is 100% secure; we strive to protect your data within technical limits.
5.5 Networks outside our control may fail—use strong passwords, change them regularly, and do not share credentials.
5.6 We maintain incident response plans and will notify you of breaches as required by law via push, email, SMS, or public notice, and report to regulators as required.
5.7 We cannot protect information you submit on third-party sites after you leave VortMall, even if reached via our links.
6. Personalization
To show more relevant content and ads, VortMall offers personalized recommendations. Below we explain how it works and how you can control it.
6.1 How personalization works
a. Personalization may include news, web pages, articles, images, videos, and similar content.
b. To predict preferences, we may collect device and behavioral data (clicks, follows, favorites, search, browse, download, share, transactions). We analyze this to push more relevant content.
c. We refine recommendations using your in-product browsing behavior to deliver better content.
6.2 Controlling personalization
6.2.1 Your control over what you receive
We use recommendation algorithms to personalize content. You can control personalization as follows:
a. Choose whether to receive personalized push content:Under Me > Settings > Personalization you can turn recommendations on or off. If you turn them all off, the Recommend channel hides and personalization stops—you can still browse Following, Hot, Headlines, and other non-personalized content.
b. Subscribe to the content you need:The Following feed shows accounts you choose to follow; you can follow or unfollow at any time.
7. Managing your personal information
We take your rights seriously—access, copy, correct, supplement, delete, withdraw consent, delete account, report issues, and privacy settings—so you stay in control.
7.1 Changing or withdrawing consent
7.1.1 Sensitive permission settings
You can change or revoke permissions in your device OS settings; after revocation we stop collecting data tied to those permissions.
7.1.2 Processing after consent changes
Some features require your information. If you withdraw consent, we cannot provide those features or process related personal information going forward. Withdrawal does not affect processing that already occurred under prior consent.

b. VortMall features may vary by phone model, OS, app version, and client; the actual product is what you use in the VortMall app.
7.6 Notice if we cease operations
If we cease operations, we will stop collecting your personal information promptly, notify you by direct notice or public announcement, and delete or anonymize the personal information we hold.
8. Minors
a. If you are under 18, use VortMall only with a parent or guardian who has read and agreed to this policy with you.
b. If you are the guardian of a child under 14, have your ward read and agree to this policy before using VortMall.
c. We protect minors’ data per law, collecting or sharing it only when allowed, with guardian consent, or as necessary to protect the child; we will delete data collected without verifiable parental consent.
d. If you are a minor’s guardian and have questions about their personal information, contact us via the channels listed in this policy.
9. Changes to the Privacy Policy
a. We may update VortMall and this policy from time to time; updates form part of this policy with equal effect. We will not reduce your rights under the current policy without your explicit consent.
b. After updates, we will publish a new version in VortMall and, before effective date, via the official website (tigshop.com) via notice or other means so you stay informed of updates to this Privacy Policy.
